Lancashire Constabulary is supporting National Stalking Awareness Week 18-24 April 2016. Stalking can have life changing consequences for victims. One in five women and one in 10 men are stalked at some point in their life. Anyone who has ever been stalked and/or suffered harassment knows the devastating affect it has upon their feelings of safety and self-confidence. It can consist of any type of behaviour such as calls, texts, or online messaging to physically damaging property or sexual assault. If you are being stalked, it is very important you trust your instincts. A person endures 100 occasions of stalking or harassment before reporting the crime to anyone. We would urge anyone who is being affected by stalking to contact us on 101 or ring the National Stalking Helpline on 0808 802 0300. Visit www.lancashire.police.uk/stalking or www.suzylamplugh.org
