The village is in the Fylde borough of Lancashire, England. It lies approximately 2 miles west of then historic market town of Kirkham. The correct parish name is “Ribby with Wrea.”

Wrea Green, as described by its name, surrounds a large common land space (“The Green“) at one side of which is a Duck Pond, commonly known as “The Dub“.
The village is twinned with Saint Bris le Vineux (France).
There is a wealth of information on the Village and it’s history. Use the links on the right hand navigation bar to find out much more.
When the Village won the Championship class of the Best Kept Village in 2001 the Lancashire Life magazine wrote an article on the village and commissioned a local artist to paint a number of scenes. The full article can be read here and the paintings also viewed under the Local Paintings section.
