Cold Weather – Police Reminder

Dear residents,

As the icy weather is upon us, please be mindful whilst de-icing your car and leaving your vehicle insecure. Please do not leave the vehicle, even if it is just for a minute, whilst the engine is still running.  Leaving your car insecure, with the engine running is not only an offence but playing into the hands of the local criminals!
There has also been reports that vehicles are being left insecure over night. Please be mindful when leaving our vehicles that they are secure as insurance companies do not pay out if thefts have occurred whilst vehicles or properties have been left insecure.
