WREA GREEN FIELD DAY REMEMBERED
Each year the village is transformed on a Saturday in June,
The fair’s assembed on the Green and the brass band plays a tune.
The procession’s full of characters, its hard to choose the best,
The Queen is crowned and its tea, there’s little time to rest.
Lots of people come to watch and join in all the fun.
Adult and children’s races with prizes to be won.
After that the fair awaits with rides both big and small,
side shows, hot dogs, candy floss ammusements for one and all.
The celebrations continue well into the night,
The fair lights flash and dodgem cars spin to left and to the right.
When all is done its time for bed but do not shed a tear,
remember it it will return again, same time, same place, next year.
