4 Kilometres of Water Works Planned

United Utilities is set to start work on a project to replace approximately 4 kilometres of water pipes around Moss Side, Wrea Green and Warton.

The project is being carried out to improve the resilience and reliability of the water network in the area. We are looking to start work to install the new water pipes from week commencing Monday 11 May on Lytham Road (Saltcotes Road end), Moss Side and it is expected to take approximately 4 months in total to complete all the work.

This project is one of many that is being carried out throughout the Lancashire region and the new pipes will help protect against bursts and reduce leaks.

The work will be carried out by MGroup and they will work in sections with temporary traffic management in place to carry out the work safely, were required. Letters to local residents will be hand delivered to inform them of the work being carried out.
