Lancashire Constabulary- Mental Health Diversion Advisory Panel (MHDAP) Lay Visitor West & South Divisions
Lancashire Constabulary are seeking volunteer lay visitors for divisional Mental Health Diversion and Advisory (MHDAP) panels.
The two panels are:
West Division– covering Blackpool, Fylde, Wyre, Lancaster & Morecambe
South Division– covering Preston, Chorley, South Ribble & West Lancashire
The volunteer role will ensure the MHDAP keeps site of its core objective – keeping vulnerable people safe and where applicable offer the voice of the public in ethical decision making. To question the panel where applicable and ensure its decision making is accountable, open, and transparent.
Meeting’s will take place via MS Teams on the 3rd Thursday of each month, within working hours (9am-5pm) to provide independent advice (option to attend at Police HQ, Hutton in person if desired).
Pre–agreed travel expenses can be claimed. This opportunity is subject to police vetting and to qualify you must have been a resident in the UK for the past 3 years.
