Fylde Officers have just been to an incident on the Freckleton Marsh Land where a male has lost his balance and become stuck in the mud.

With the assistance of Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service, the Coast Guard and NWAS, the male has been rescued from the mud and is being checked over by paramedics.

We were successful in locating the male due to the use of the ‘What 3 Words’ app.
This app is easy to use and should you become lost or need emergency assistance, the app will provide you with 3 different words for your exact location which you can then provide to emergency services.

Should we not have received the 3 words from the app, we wouldn’t have been able to get to the male as quickly as we did and therefore want to ask everyone to consider getting this app.
