Cuadrilla’s survey team will be working today but to minimise any future disturbance there is now a buffer zone of at least 250m around built-up areas of Lytham, Wrea Green, Kirkham and Wesham, with a distance of 500m used where possible. We’ve also restricted hours of working for detonations to 9am – 6.30pm. All of the charges around Wrea Green were detonated yesterday (with the exception of two around 600m to the southeast, that have now also been detonated), and we received five telephone enquiries from your constituents about the Survey.
Today, the survey team intend to detonate a number of pre-loaded charges around Dowbridge, and in the area between Newton-with-Scales and Freckleton between 9am and 6.30pm. There are also a few charges that remain to be fired in the area around Bryning, well away from the built-up areas. The weather can affect the schedule but the survey team remain hopeful that they will be finished by the end of this week.
